ENGAGING IN COMMUNITY DIALOGUES

Community dialogues are very paramount as they spearhead change of mindsets and dismantles harmful cultural practices that have held girls backwards for a very long time.

Bringing community leaders, family members and clan heads together and engage them in a honest conversation in regard to what concerns a girl child does wonders.

Out of these dialogues, we have seen many clan heads, local leaders change view things in a different lense, appreciating that girls too can do what boys can do.

We have seen many parents sink in loans to educate their girls and empower them.

In advocacy, we need such honest conversations if we are to push for change.

It’s only through dialogues that we can win the hearts of the community members in order to uplift the status of the girl child.
